SLP #14: Thinking Otherwise with the World

Krystal Hille from Hille House Publishing Season 2 Episode 14

Today, we explore the theme of what it means to think outside the box.

How can we escape the boxing in and comparison to certain standards?
How can we treat our children as citizens of the Now?
How can we claim our place in the world through the process of writing?
How can we truly collaborate with ourselves, our bodies and the world by creating curious encounters through different lenses and perspectives?

About today's guest:

Kelly Boucher is a contributor of our next multi-author book: Collaboration, which is released September 24.

She is an independent scholar, education consultant and personal breakthrough coach. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, post graduate studies in education and is a qualified NLP, Time Line Therapy®, and hypnosis practitioner. Her current work supports teachers across the education sector by activating critical dialogue within theory and practice to ‘think otherwise with the world’. Kelly regularly presents at education conferences both nationally and internationally and her recent publications focus on place and materials as relational learning opportunities for children. In 2019 the content in her co-authored book chapter, “Engaging with Place: Foregrounding Aboriginal perspectives in early childhood education”, was cited as a best practice scenario for children’s learning by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.

Kelly thinks with concepts, lives slowly on Dja Dja Wurrung country and is cultivating her own inner ecology next to a huge eucalyptus tree.
