RACHEL FISKE

Rachel Fiske, author of the chapter Empowered Sexuality for Girls, has been a yoga teacher and Reiki healer in Chicago for 25 years, demystifying the ancient teachings to bring relevant lessons to western minds. Rachel has led MoonBeams mother-daughter events since 2006, to engender conscious relationships between mothers and their pre-teen daughters and help teach girls to hear and honor their inner voice. The MoonBeams curriculum provides a context to help daughters set intentions to approach their growing independence consciously, and for mothers to learn to trust that their daughter will listen to her inner voice through the noise of all the conflicting messages in western society, especially around sexuality. Rachel is the mother of a thriving 25-year-old daughter, Lily. She can be reached through her website ugoddessyoga.com where you’ll find links to her blog, podcast interviews, and Oprah appearance.

GUEST OFFERINGS:

Rachel is offering part one of a three-part workshop called Crossing That Bridge. It’s $50 per part, and part one is FREE to podcast listeners and friends. It’s a teleclass (MP3 recording) designed to help moms get comfortable talking about sex with your daughter by truly discovering WHAT you want to convey to your daughter about sex.

It’s in response to the idea that we should communicate our VALUES to our daughters, except that most of us have never sat down to determine what our values even are? This is the opportunity to do that in a fully guided way. It’s three separate hours, and the first hour is free to listeners.
