SLP #4: Cancer, Menstruation and Empowerment

Both of my guests today are cancer survivors who have embraced the saying that life happens for us, not to us. They have used their diagnosis as a spring board to live their most inspired life and help their clients to move through their own challenges.

We talk about the silent suffering of menstrual pain and what can be done about it, the power of nature as a healing force in our lives and the magic that comes from healing our generational patterning.

Kelly Phoenix Rose is a Menstruation Guru, Cancer Coach, Spiritual Mentor, a versatile medicine woman and an activated initiate of the great goddess Isis. She is trained with several modalities including Kinesiology, Mind & Body Medicine, Surviving a terminal Cancer , Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shamanism and Breathwork.

She is also the creator of Australia's growing first Non-For-Profit Essential Oil company Intenshen Oils and is devoted to activating light here on Earth with her service and offerings. Stemming from her Shine programme, Kelly’s is in the process of releasing 2x 6 module programmes into the educational system with her organization Connecteen. Connecteen provides opportunities for teenagers to embody tools to equip them with Mastering the Art of change, holistically & naturally. These programmes are: Walking with the Moon for girls (topics on menstruation & change) and Running with the Sun for the boys (topics on connecting to intuition, feelings & change).

After overcoming her own chronic diagnosis of Endometriosis and terminal Cancer she strongly stands in a position to make a positive impact on those who are suffering.  Her vision is to impact the women to rise up into a new paradigm of balancing their cycle and linear demands of life & the workforce. Amongst many dreams Kelly has , she is devoted to ensuring the path that she experienced of darkness now has some light.

MELISSA TOGNI

Melissa is a student of life, her passion of understanding human behaviours and the connection between mind health and our physical bodies is a passion that she experienced intimately after a stage 4 incurable cancer diagnosis. This journey has enabled Melissa to truly embody and deepen her understanding of the importance our emotional health and the impact it has on our bodies physically, making this the focus of her work.

After many years on her own self development work Melissa has fine-tuned her ability to be present and to hold space for others and has the ability to bring unconscious patterns and behaviour  into consciousness.

With 30 years of conscious hair dressing experience, where she held space for people's stories and having lived her own story, she is not stepping into death doula training.
